Political ecology

Political ecology reveals how the benefits derived from exploiting nature are distributed unevenly in society and how policy actions can promote a fairer distribution. Some of the biggest challenges cannot be overcome by technology solutions alone; there is also a need to re-politicise society. Our studies in this field use a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, such as material and energy flows, institutional analysis, surveys and historiography. At ENT we tailor our approach to the different needs of our clients. You can find examples in our Projects section.

More in-depth analyses of key issues are published in Ecología Política, a journal for scientists and activists published by Fundació ENT.
