In the framework of the SCORE project and with a participatory methodology led by ENT, local and provincial representatives have prioritised a series of ecosystem-based measures to be implemented at the mouth of the Torrent de la Piera and alleviate the flooding problems in Ronda Europa, at the railway underpass.

The measures analysed were the rehabilitation along riverbanks, river stream-bed restitution, riverbank heightening, and a filter strip. Citizens representatives, academia, the private sector and the public sector stakeholders analysed social and environmental criteria to carry out this prioritisation.

Based on the results obtained, ENT will continue leading this analysis process where in this second phase, costs and benefits related of some of these measures will be quantified, with the objective of contributing to informed decision making, based on data and considering the preference shown by the local community.
