The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission has just commissioned ENT the report “Review of economic and socio-economic studies on recycling topics (RESYCLE)”.
The objective of this study is to carry out a systematic review of research and studies on the economic and socio-economic impacts of different recycling policies and pathways. In particular, three questions will be addressed:
- What are the theoretical arguments in favour of recycling
- Which formal approaches and methodologies are used to assess economic and socio-economic impacts of different recycling policies and pathways
- Main findings from currently available economic and socio-economic studies related to municipal food/bio-waste and dry recyclables.
