The “Climate change adaptation program for the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona”, developed together with the ERF, analyses the territorial and organizational characteristics of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona and the climate projections for this area to define the main risks and priority intervention areas.
Depending on the priority areas (rivers, beaches, terrestrial ecosystems, waste, etc.) actions are proposed to adapt to climate change. A table for each of the 53 proposed actions is included with a description of the action, the tasks arising from the action, the stakeholders responsible for its implementation, the estimated cost and the period of implementation. Finally, a monitoring plan and a communication plan are proposed.
ENT Environment and Management has primarily participated in the identification of priority areas for intervention and in the proposal of actions to adapt to climate change.
