The project, commissioned by the European Commission and led by Eunomia, was aimed at understanding the main gaps and weaknesses of the EU Waste Statistics in order to prioritise those areas requiring improvement. In this context ENT carried out a sectoral study including statistics on waste electric and electronic equipment and waste packaging. ENT was in charge of reviewing the information delivered by the EU Member States and produce a country-by-country table describing data compilation and the reporting process in each Member State for these two waste streams. Next, the main issues regarding consistency and comprehensiveness were assessed. Finally, country experts were interviewed in order to clarify the most relevant aspects.
