This project, commissioned by the Catalan Water Agency (ACA), attempted to determine the macroeconomic impact of water infrastructures in Catalonia.
On the one side, an impact analysis was made, based on input-output methodology, to quantify the macroeconomic impact of the construction of certain water infrastructures, on production, employment and other macroeconomic indicators. On the other side, aggregate production functions were specified and estimated for the Catalan economy, to evaluate the impact of the water stock of capital on growth and productivity.
