The study focused on the possibility of increasing the correspondence between the fees and waste generation, within the Metropolitan Waste Treatment Charge. The result has been the approval of a reform that will consist of passing to the taxpayers of each municipality the costs of managing the waste originated in that municipality, thus encouraging the best management practices and models.
