The WOODCIRCLES consortium came together for its 4th General Assembly on June 11–12 in London, hosted by Waugh Thistleton Architects. This two-day gathering brought together 19 partners from across Europe to assess progress at Month 24 and align on the project’s next milestones.

Held in Hackney, a hub of urban regeneration, the assembly featured updates from all work packages, an inspiring Urban Forest walking tour, and strategic discussions on sustainability, innovation, and local adaptation of WOODCIRCLES solutions.

Verónica Martínez (ENT) and Nilmini (UCAM) shared key updates from the Sustainability Assessment work package. They presented the life cycle inventories developed to date, early stages of the environmental (LCA) and economic (LCC) impacts of Design for Disassembly and component reuse, and a methodology to assess the social performance of WOODCIRCLES innovations.

As the project enters its 2nd half, the momentum continues with targeted actions on business development, local deployment, and communication strategies. It was also a great occasion to welcome Mar Riera to the team, marking her official introduction to the WOODCIRCLES project.

The assembly concluded with a collaborative WP6 workshop focused on crafting the narrative for the WOODCIRCLES Pilot Building.
