ENT will actively participate in the sixth edition of the Built Environment Meet Up, a European meeting focused on the application of circular bioeconomy principles in the construction sector, which will take place on 28 May, from 11:00 to 12:30, online. The event is organised by the Association of Cities and Regions for sustainable Resource management (ACR+) and is aimed at local and regional authorities, as well as member organisations interested in advancing more sustainable construction models.

During the session, Verónica Martínez (ENT) will be responsible for presenting the European project Woodcircles, in which ENT participates as a project partner and leads the work on sustainability assessment. The project aims to significantly increase the circular use of wood in construction by demonstrating innovative wood valorisation solutions in three European cities: Rotterdam, Tartu and Turin.

The presentation will highlight how WOODCIRCLES addresses key circularity challenges in the wood construction industry by promoting more efficient resource use, waste reduction and the extension of material life cycles. The project is a strong example of how European cooperation can support the transition towards a more sustainable and circular construction sector.

Built Environment Meet Up #6 is designed as an interactive and informal discussion space, encouraging participants to exchange experiences, challenges and best practices. The overall aim is to support the development of a robust circular bioeconomy for construction at local and regional levels, while identifying priorities for future exchanges.
