Fundació ENT is pleased to invite you to participate in Online Training 2 (OT2) – “How to implement PAYT in the Euro-MED project regions: a trigger to increase bio-waste collection rates”, taking place on 7 July 2026 from 11:00 to 13:00 CET.
The session will feature presentations by Maria Calaf Forn (Fundació ENT) and Michele Giavini (CIC), who will share practical experiences and insights on the implementation of Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) schemes as a key instrument to improve separate bio-waste collection and recycling performance.
This online training is part of a broader series of knowledge-sharing and capacity-building activities organised within the CirBioWaste project to facilitate the exchange of experiences, disseminate best practices, and support local and regional authorities in improving their bio-waste management systems.
Co-funded by the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, CirBioWaste brings together partners from Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, and Bulgaria to promote the transition towards a circular and resource-efficient bioeconomy through the transfer and adaptation of proven bio-waste management solutions across Mediterranean regions.
The training will provide practical insights into the design, implementation, and operation of PAYT systems, offering participants the opportunity to learn from real-life experiences and exchange views on the challenges and opportunities of applying PAYT in Mediterranean contexts.
