This report was commissioned by the Waste Agency of Catalonia within the framework of its Action Plan 2005-2012, following which several cooperation agreements were signed with different organizations to conduct waste management programmes.
The report consists of two parts: the development of the Plan and the subsequent elaboration of a Handbook of Good Practices. The first draw a set of strategies to promote waste prevention and separate collection, also including reporting tools, environmental education and participation, while the second has the role of a communication tool for the transmission of the objectives of the Plan.
