On June 14th, ENT, project coordinator of LIFE BIOBEST, led a breakout session on bio-waste collection at the “A futureproof EU Waste Framework Directive” workshop organized by OVAM, in the framework of the Belgian EU Presidency. OVAM will provide the workshop’s conclusions to the European Commission. Participants in the breakout room identified and prioritized the regulatory barriers and the necessity of priority actions.
During these final weeks of June, LIFE BIOBEST will publish their most recent outputs: four guidelines on bio-waste separate collection, governance & economic instruments, quality compost & digestate, and communication strategies factsheets.
