The consortia of the Interreg Euro-MED CirBioWaste project is pleased to invite you to participate in the Third Online Training on Bio-Waste Management: Closing the Loop at the Source through Community Composting, taking place on 9th October 2026.
The session will combine practical experiences and municipal case studies, providing participants with insights into different approaches to implementing and managing community composting systems.
The first part of the training will be held in English and will introduce the principles of decentralised and community composting, followed by practical examples of implementation. Experiences will include community composting at municipal level, with a presentation of the case of Masies de Roda and the MEDWISE project. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and exchange experiences with the speakers.
Following the joint English session, a Spanish breakout session will feature “Campustaje: compostaje comunitario en campus universitarios”, exploring community composting in a university setting and its potential for bio-waste management, awareness-raising and engagement within university communities.
The training is organised within the CirBioWaste project as part of its capacity-building and knowledge-transfer activities supporting more sustainable bio-waste management across the Mediterranean.
