Woodcircles | General Assembly

On June 11 and 12, Verónica Martínez and Mar Riera (ENT Foundation) will attend the General Assembly of the European project Woodcircles, which will be held in London (England), hosted by the partners of the architectural firm Waugh Thistleton Architects.

The Woodcircles project, funded by the Horizon Europe program, aims to promote the sustainable use of wood in sectors such as construction, combining research, innovation and support for the formulation of effective public policies.

This meeting marks a key moment in the development of the project, as it coincides with the equator of its duration (month 24 of 48). During the meeting, the consortium will review the progress achieved so far and strategic decisions will be made on the solutions proposed to promote a circular economy based on wood.

ENT will present the progress made so far in the work package it leads, focused on sustainability analysis. This work includes a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a Life Cycle Costing (LCC) and a Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) of the solutions proposed in the project, mainly around two key axes: the recovery of wood from existing buildings and the design approach for dismantling and reuse.
