ENT is strengthening its climate change area to meet the growing need among public authorities, companies and organisations for rigorous studies, strategies and tools to address the challenges of mitigation and adaptation.
This area of work builds on a well-established track record at local, national and European levels. In recent years, ENT has participated in European projects such as SCORE, focused on the climate resilience of coastal cities; NATURVATION, on urban innovation and nature-based solutions; OptForEU, aimed at low-carbon and climate-resilient forest management; and WOODCIRCLES, dedicated to circularity and carbon capture in the construction and building sectors.
This experience is complemented by participation in the BEAVER project, which addresses the links between climate adaptation, risk prevention, emergency preparedness and community-based resilience actions.
ENT’s track record is also reflected in its sustained scientific output. The team has published several articles in scientific journals on ecosystem-based adaptation, flood risk management, the protection and restoration of coastal environments, social perceptions of climate risks, and the economic assessment of adaptation measures.
This combination of scientific research, participation in international projects and knowledge of public policy enables ENT to turn available evidence into practical proposals tailored to the needs of each territory and organisation.
ENT’s services include the development of climate change adaptation plans and strategies, risk and vulnerability assessment, analysis of the social and economic impacts of climate change, carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions calculations, and the evaluation of mitigation and adaptation measures.
ENT also provides support in designing economic and fiscal instruments to promote decarbonisation, energy efficiency and renewable energy, as well as in assessing nature-based solutions and integrating climate criteria into public planning and procurement.
By strengthening this area, ENT is placing its expertise at the service of public authorities, companies and organisations seeking to develop studies, research, strategies or actions related to climate change.
