In 2011, the Catalan Waste Agency commissioned to ENT a diagnosis on the prevention of non-packaging paper. The objective of this project was to develop proposals for the prevention of non-packaging paper in Catalonia from an analysis of this waste fraction in Catalonia, the analysis of the main regulations applicable, and from an analysis of national and international experiences of prevention of the non-packaging paper.
The project consists of an analysis of how the composition of water inlets in wastewater treatment plants affects the analytical characterization of outflows: clean water and sewage sludge, focusing particularly on heavy metals.
