The journal Ecología Política invites authors to send their article proposals for its next issue, number 69.
«Abya Yala’s political ecological thought for the world»
This volume calls for texts that recover the conceptual contributions that Latin American political ecology has made to the understanding of the crisis facing humanity and environmental collapse.
This conceptual baggage has been built hand in hand with the resistance of the peoples of Abya Yala in the making of a militant and committed academy, which not only proposes new methodologies, but also new epistemologies that deserve to be systematized and made visible. We believe that political ecology has much to contribute to the experience of other Souths, including Europe Below, as the Zapatista communities have affectionately called it.
This issue is also conceived as a tribute to Héctor Alimonda, Carlos Walter Porto Gonçalves, Gustavo Esteva, Claudio Lowy, as well as to our hundreds of martyrs defending Life. In this issue of the Ecología Política Journal, we invite you to propose texts that present research exercises, theoretical elaboration and co-production of knowledge around notions such as:
- Extractivisms/neo-extractivisms/sustainable extractivism
- Yasunization
- Commodity Consensus/Decarbonization Consensus and Green Colonialism
