ENT is meeting today in Barcelona with the LIFE4EPR partners for the Steering Committee meeting. The consortium, which includes ACR+, WEEE Forum, Zero Waste Europe, ECO, SOTELO and VUB, began the project in May 2025 and is now approaching its first year of implementation.

Yesterday, ENT and the partners met with the external Project Officer for the Intermediate Reporting Meeting, presenting both the results achieved so far and the upcoming activities to ensure full alignment for the next phases. After almost one year, the project is fully on track, with all planned deliverables and milestones successfully achieved.

The LIFE4EPR project – towards harmonized Extended Producer Responsibility schemes across the EU – aims to improve the effectiveness, governance, and cost efficiency of EPR systems by analysing current practices, developing a technical tool, and delivering policy recommendations. Through stakeholder engagement, the project maps EPR schemes, benchmarks case studies, and tests a harmonized EU‑wide register to support future policy guidance.

Today, ENT and the consortium will continue working together through focused working‑group sessions, discussing each Work Package in detail and coordinating the next steps.
