Fundació ENT will coordinate the new project LIFE4EPR – Towards harmonized Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes across the EU, financed by the European Commission.

The objective of the project is to support policymaking by giving a clearer picture on the state of play of the EPR schemes set up across the EU, aiming at enhancing the effectiveness, cost efficiency, governance, enforcement, and waste management of concerned products.

Particularly, the project will:

  • Map and analyse existing EU EPR schemes to identify challenges and develop best practices.
  • Assess the feasibility and effectiveness of an EU-wide harmonised EPR register of producers subject to EPR obligations.

The project will start on the 1st of May 2025 and will involve 7 European partners: ENT, ACR+, ECO, ZWE, WF, SOTELO and VUB.
