ENT researcher and consultant, Mar Riera Spiegelhalder, participated in the Webinar ‘Tools to enhance climate change adaptation in coastal areas. Held on May 21, 2024, this webinar focused on the development and application of advanced tools aimed at enhancing climate change adaptation in coastal regions. highlighted innovative strategies and tools designed to bolster the resilience of these vulnerable areas.
Adapt4Coast is a collaborative initiative bringing together experts from various fields to address the growing impacts of climate change on coastal communities. SCORE project, together with its sister projects CoCLICO, REST-COAST, and PROTECT organise joint activities to increase the visibility and impact of these EU Funded research initiatives under H2020.
During the webinar, Mar Riera Spiegelhalder shared the Ecosystem-based Adaptation Catalogue, where adaptation options suitable for coastal areas can be explored, either filtering by land typology, climate hazard or combining both filters. Other tools such SCORE sensors catalogue, or the Policy briefs at EU level were also presented during the webinar. All them innovative strategies and tools designed to bolster the resilience of European coastal areas.
