On September 17, LIFE BIOBEST consortium partners ENT and ECN led a CLOSECYCLE (North Sea Interreg Program) pop-up talk about project results. ENT set the stage with a presentation about the regulatory/policy barriers impacting bio-waste management in the EU, which was followed by joint presentations about quality compost & digestate, governance & economic instruments, and standards for bio-waste entering recycling processes.
On September 18, ENT gave a keynote address during the “Technical Assistance for Assessment of Turkey’s Potential on Transition to Circular Economy” organized by the DEEP project about EU waste prevention, reduction, and bio-waste separate collection barriers studied within the context of the LIFE BIOBEST project.
