The project funded by the Fundación Biodiverdad and entitled “Climate change adaptation in urban coastal areas with high population density and touristic and cultural relevance in Spain”, enters its final phase.
This project addresses the impact of climate change on beaches and protected cultural assets in coastal areas, focusing on three case studies: the metropolitan area of Barcelona; and the municipalities of A Coruña and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The study also includes the identification and economic valuation of the adaptation actions likely to be applied in these areas.
Results will be disseminated through a final report, an executive summary, a presentation, and a technical article in the upcoming months of 2017.
