The canalization of food surpluses as a local waste prevention strategy

Food redistribution at local level is presented as a waste prevention opportunity with a significant positive social impact, which has been progressively adopted. The results achieved in Cornellà de Llobregat and Torredembarra show a positive social and environmental impact, along with a favourable economic balance.
