Juliana Sutil joins ENT as an environmental consultant and researcher. Her field of expertise is low carbon innovation and environmental policies for climate change mitigation.
Juliana Subtil Lacerda holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from the Institute of Environmental Science & Technology (ICTA) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona as well as a MSc in Environmental Science from the same institute and an MSc in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). Juliana’s research lies at the intersection of evolutionary economics, environmental science, and innovation studies. A focus of her work has been on low carbon innovation, especially in the energy sector. Juliana was a visiting researcher at the CERNA/Écoles des Mines in Paris and at ETH Zürich. Juliana has held the position as a postdoctoral researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), as an Assistant Professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development from Utrecht University and as a Lecturer at ESCI-UPF. Next to her doctoral studies, Juliana gained practical experience working at General Motors, Elring Klinger and, more recently, as a consultant for R&D projects in Spain, France, and Latin America.
