The elaboration of policies or the application of other instruments at the hands of public administrations (regulations, economic instruments, etc.) require a good knowledge about the situation and the specific problems to be addressed, as well as the economic and social circumstances that characterise them. Some of the projects we conduct include:
- Comparative legislation and characterisation of the state-of-the-art.
- Economic analysis of policies and possible use of economic instruments
- Ex-ante and ex-post impact analysis of plans and programs.
- Analysis of technology available in the market.
In this field we have carried out studies for the financing of renewable energy installations with public participation, “win-win” strategies of energy saving in public facilities, and improving energy management in public administrations, amongst others.
