Ignasi Puig and Luís Campos Rodrigues (ENT) participated in the Annual General Assembly of the EU H2020 Project – NATure-based URBan innoVATION (NATURVATION). The event was held at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) on the 28th and 29th of September.
The Assembly counted on the participation of academic and municipal partners of the project, and included as main topics the discussion about the progress of the different work packages, and the presentation of case studies focused on the implementation of nature based solutions (NBS) in several European cities. Moreover, representatives of the city council presented the Barcelona Green Infrastructure Programme.
NATURVATION is a four-year project. It is composed of a consortium of 14 institutions in the fields of urban geography, innovation studies and economics: The University of Durham (leader), The Central European University, The Ecologic Institute gGmbH, Utrecht University, ICLEI, Institut Fur Landeskunde, PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Lund University, ENT Environment and Management, The Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Malmo City, Newcastle City Council and the Gemeente Utrecht.
