Irmak Ertör (ENT fellow) is presenting today her research entitled as “Political Ecology of Aquaculture: Fish and Human on the Commodity Frontiers” in the Ataturk Institute in Bogazici University (Estambul), known for interdisciplinary social science research. Ataturk Institute for Modern Turkish History is organising these seminars with the participation of various scholars from different backgrounds such as anthropology, history, economic sociology and geography among others. This will be the first seminar with a focus on political ecology held in the Ataturk Institute, and Irmak Ertör aims both to explain the field and to share the results of her investigation on the expansion of marine commodity frontiers and fish farms in Turkey.
