| News| 04/05/2017

The first of the four workshops to be organized under the EU-funded Project “Linking Biodiversity to National Economic and Social Priorities in the EU Member States” was held on the 3rd of May in Barcelona (Aula Europa, European Parliament/ European Commission – Representation). The workshop was organized by the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) and ENT.

The session featured presentations on several practical cases from the Mediterranean area, notably in the context of fisheries, agro-ecology, eco-tourism and forestry. In addition, it counted with the development of roundtable discussions, mainly focused on opportunities, benefit, drivers and barriers of using nature-based solutions to unlock nature’s potential to contribute towards socio-economic objectives.
